THE COMMONWEALTH REVIEW

 

a bi-annual journal devoted to the new literatures in English

   
 

The Commonwealth Review is published twice every year. It seeks to reflect the literary world's response to the new literatures and translations in English. Articles on Indian Writing in English and other Commonwealth literatures are invited. Manuscripts should be neatly typed in double space. References should as far as possible be incorporated in the text. Contributions to the journal and books for review (two copies each) should be sent to the editor. JAS is an international, refereed annual journal devoted to Australian studies. It focuses on literature, women's studies and social sciences.

Contributions , invited in the form of articles, reviews, interviews and poems/fiction may be sent to the editors by e-mail attachments along with hard copy. Endnotes should be kept to a minimum with references and commentary included in the text. Comparative approaches, especially within the framework of Australasian studies and South Asian studies will be preferred.

The purpose of the journal is to strengthen literary and cultural ties, and to promote understanding between America and the subcontinent.

The journal includes articles, book reviews, review essays and creative writing. It publishes work by specialists of any nationality on any aspect of American/Indian studies.
